History & Biography
The act was founded in 1995 after bearing another monicker for a year. The band sent a demo to Repulse, which got it signed. A second record was recorded for the label for 2000, but it went unreleased after the act dismantled. Spain-based Ouija featuring original vocalist Midgard and guitarist Map reformed in 2010 together with three members from Spellcraft, Murcilag (guitar), Fulgur (drums) and Aldromk (bass). The band signed a deal with Xtreem Music for the release of its reformation mini-CD due to come out in the autumn of 2010 and its second full-length album for 2011. The act had released its debut album Riding Into The Funeral Paths back in 1997 on Xtreem Music’s former label Repulse Records. The band’s 4-song mini-CD, entitled Adversary, was recorded at Moontower Studio by Javi Bastard and mastered at Unisound Studio by Dan Swanö. The band and Xtreem Music expected a full-length release for 2011. Ave Voluptatis Carnis was issued in 2013. The band became inactive until 2020 at which time they decided to record a new album. New members were JM101 and Shogoth. The pandemic delayed this however. An EP called Selenophile Impia emerged in May 2021. Carphathians Excelsi Majesty - Demo 1996 was only issued in 2022.

Ouija released its 2023 album, entitled Fathomless Hysteros, through Negra Nit Distro. The album was recorded and mixed by Javi Felez at Moontower Studios and mastered by Magnus Andersson at Endarker Studio, Sweden.

OUIJA - RIDING INTO THE FUNERAL PATHS - REPULSE
Ladies and gentlemen, here comes yet another typical black metal band. This style has become so highly derivative that the European Union reports ripoff black metal as the second source of employment gain in Europe in 1997, ranked right behind high-priced prostitute Diana Souvenir peddlers. There is not an ounce of originality or creativity to be found here. Next! - Ali "The Metallian"
