History & Biography
The pagan and heathen metal band came together by Galad-Hor Magus and guitarist Sinneral in 2004. The cover of the 2004 demo, Smell Of The Wood And Taste Of Spells, featured a barren land. Honza and Talic joined in 2005. The band’s first concert was in December 2005. The independent live DVD Live Running Out Of Rules preceded Demo 2006. Folter Records of Germany signed the band and out came the debut record, Paganized, in 2007. Honza Kapák of the Czech version of Avenger drummed as a guest. He then joined as a full-fledged member. The band appeared at Brutal Assault.

Vlčák arrived on vocals for album two in 2010. The band trekked back to the woods for the 2011 EP Woodland Journey, which featured new and self-cover version tracks The third album, released in 2013, was on Paragon Records. The band toured Europe with INFEST, Inferno, Arkona and Armada. The fourth album was supported through a mini-tour with Angantyr and Svarta. The group’s first overseas tour was with Inferno and Armada in Mexico. Gabreta Aeterna revisited Folter Records. Říruřec : Dreisessel was a 2022 EP. Miroslav Skallagrím Lízal became the singer in 2023. 2024 brought Apocalyptic Form Of Death - Metal Festival 2024. The band played a small gig that nonetheless and cliche-wise was called Apocalyptic Form Of Death - Metal Festival in 2024. Helheim of Norway booked a mini-tour with Panychida for 2025.

The band’s monicker represents a religious funeral service.
