History & Biography
At first Panzerfaust was a Nazi portable anti-tank weapon. Then it was a 1995 album by Darkthrone. Then it was a dozen bands around the world with the Canada-based version getting together in a Toronto suburb, with as much charm as a Nazi struggling with the hypocrisy of his own closet, in 2005. The band was founded by Brock Van Dijk and drummer Lord Baphomet (Brad May). The latter would depart in 2019. Brock would take over second vocals in 2013.

The band was first heard through an EP called The Winds Will Lead Us… in late 2006. A Anastasia Ikonnikova briefly played violin for the band. Several tracks were quickly recycled for a split with a band called Totalus Necrum. A Canadian label issued the group's debut album in 2008. Marduk announced a North American Tour 2011 with Aura Noir, Black Anvil, Panzerfaust and Hod. Ringworm toured in Europe and was playing concerts in the USA with Macabre and Panzerfaust in 2014. Abigail Williams was touring the Eastern half of the USA in 2014 with plans for more shows in May and June with Lecherous Nocturne and Panzerfaust. Several EPs came and went, but it was with The Suns Of Perdition chapters that the band began regularly issuing albums. The albums explore humanity's darker impulses and were narratively and thematically linked, with recurring motifs of war, apocalypse and spirituality. These were awarded to Eisenwald.

Death-Drive Projections 2022 headlining tour comprised 17 shows across Europe with support from Velnias. Panzerfaust then announced the Worlds Beyond All Reckoning European Tour, which was taking place in October 2023. Opening was Afsky. Kanonenfieber opened for the band in Europe in 2024. In an interview with Zwaremetalen, Brock ("a humble student of history") went into freedumb mode and promised to piss on the grave of Canada's Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. An Ohio venue, called Ace Of Cups, accused the band of being Nazis while the band was touring with Profanatica in 2023. Panzerfaust threatened legal action. No legal action followed. This may have been a misunderstanding. After all, the band had stated that it had sought "legal council." Uada stood by its tour-mate. The band stated it had participated in the "freedom convoy." This convoy was illegally parked and blocking the city of Ottawa. More importantly, it was an alarmist gathering of conspiracy theorists that was against public health measures supported by science designed to save lives. The band took exception to being associated with Nazis and made no mention of organisers being Nazis, white supremacists or waving swastikas and three percenter flags. Moreover, one of the organisers of the right-wing protests was Pat King who had offered, "There's an endgame: It's called depopulation of the Caucasian race" (another organiser was an unemployed former dancer who was also a leader in a minute Western Canada separatist party whose husband, in a Canadian court, pleaded something called the fifth later). The band's view on this was (as shared, where else but on social media): "There have been concerted efforts by our politicians and by our national media entities to discredit this movement as "fringe", "extremist", and holding "unacceptable views."" The band's public health and medical credentials were not shared either. Of course, the band may not have appreciated health mandates and was partial as touring - despite the dangers of a pandemic - is how it makes money. Panzerfaust and Groza were touring Canada and the USA in the autumn of 2025. The tour was dubbed All Grounds Zeroed. The band was booked for the Gothoom festival in 2026.

The band is unaffiliated with an older Nazi Panzerfaust Records.
