History & Biography
The Paralydium Project shortened its monicker in 2019. The band that was staffed by Dynazty members had issued a self-titled demo in 2015. John Berg was the founder. Early singer had been Linnéa Vikström who was married to drummer Egg. The science fiction influences were apparent. Contracted to Frontiers, Worlds Beyond was the first album and made available in 2020. It was a concept album about a man searching for higher powers through different worlds.John recorded most of the album in his own studio. The album’s artwork was created by artist Gustavo Sazes who had worked with Amaranthe among others.

Sweden-based progressive rock group Paralydium released an album called Universe Calls through Frontiers Music in August 2024. A music video for the song Sands Of Time was available first. Mikael Sehlin had left recently and was replaced by Alexander Lycke. The old singer had decamped to the pop sounds of Amaranthe. His departure was attributed to, “simmering tensions beneath the surface” and indeed the band had been silent for several years.
