History & Biography
Paul Chain transitioned goth horror band Death SS into a solo act (‘Paul Chain Violent Theatre’ for the first two records) and used Lee Dorian of Cathedral as a vocals and lyrics’ contributor for Alkahest. Ash was a 1988 EP. The 1992 live albums were fan club exclusives until being re-issued years later. Master Of All Times is billed as an improvised album. After issuing releases regularly Paul went on hiatus for ten years beginning 2004. Minotauro Records had CD re-releases of Ash and Violet Art Of Improvisation in Japanese-style mini LP format with custom OBI cards of said releases in 2015. Paul competes with Iron Maiden for the number of monthly live albums and compilations.
