History & Biography The band was founded in 2012 when Max Rebel was searching for other musicians to put a band together. The act came to the fore with a 2015 demo/Beerfuzz release called Return Of The Jackalope. The group performed at Wacken in 2018. Cologne, Germany-based heavy rockers, and Ripple Music label-mates, Plainride and The Trikes, join forces to hit the European road in March 2019 for the High On Tires Spring Tour. The tour came on the heels of Ripple Music’s release of Plainride's LP, Life On Ares and Ripplefest. Bob Vogston joined in 2019. He was also a producer. The Hour of The Mumakil demo was issued on 30.04.2021. The band had shows lined up for the autumn of 2021.
Plainride issued a self-titled third album in 2023. Phil Max became the bassist in late 2023. The band was booked for the Red Balloon Festival and Sound Fusion Festival in 2026 among other shows. The band was working on a new release.
The band is influenced by The Eagles of Death Metal, which is a non-death metal band from the USA into conspiracy theories.
