History & Biography The Bremen, Germany-based heavy metal/doom/mosh band President Evil – a name chosen by Holze - came together in 2002 and had a demo called The Electromagnetic Superstorm in 2003. The band won a local bands’ contest. Another demo was Evil Goes To Hollywood in 2005. The band signed to AFM Records after the label saw the gang perform at Dong Open Air in 2005. Its debut was taped by former Holy Moses man Andy Classen who had produced Evil Goes To Hollywood. Tours with Gwar, Motorjesus and Ministry followed. Godspeed Topf entered for the sophomore effort. The band toured with Kayser and Volbeat. Holze left in April 2009. Singer Christoph Birx of Motorjesus sang for the band between the second and third records. Neal McCocker entered for the third album. The band shot a video for Coffee & Cocaine.
The band participated in the All For metal compilation of Locomotive Records.

President Evil clearly has a sense of humour. See the band’s name (Resident Evil anyone?), the cover and titles like Jesus Factor Negative, Return Of The Speed Cowboys, The Anti Loser and King Asshole for that. What also becomes soon obvious as well, however, is that the Germans additionally have a sense for variety. The evils’ music is both extreme and groovy. While the bulk of material has an earthy Revolting Cocks-meets-Brutal Truth-meets-Kyuss feel to it, which means it doesn’t exactly sound like any of the three, on other occasions the album veers into Western medleys, hardcore and loads of Anthrax. The band’s infernal German Bento box, in other words, sounds like Pungent Stench - and the conclusion came before remembering that both bands have a track called Viva La Muerte.
