History & Biography
The band was founded in 2010. Members were constantly wife swapping and were in overlapping projects. Singer MP Papai was with the group from 2015 to 2019. Drum-for-hire Pat Gloeckle came in 2013 and left officially in 2019. With the release of its debut record, guitarist Tyler Herring left in 2017. His co-founder Lee Smith became the group's mainstay. , but Herring remained in touch. The two co-founding members were also in Wrath Of Ragnarok. Professor Emeritus' debut show was at Reggie's in Chicago, Illinois, USA, opening for Manilla Road on its 40th Anniversary World Tour alongside Slauter Xstroyes and Shokker, on October 1st, 2017.

USA-based doom act Professor Emeritus was back eight years after the release of its debut record, Take Me To The Gallows. Clearly, the request had been ignored. The group had an album called A Land Long Gone through No Remorse Records on June 13, 2025. Singer Esteban Julian Pena had joined in 2024.
