HistoryThe project, which is meant to be a full-fledged band despite its name, came together by two brothers in 2001. The band was joined by former Voivod singer and bassist Eric and was off to the races with its debut issued by Karmageddon Media in Europe and Candlelight in North America. Tim produced the album. Kevin owned Assembly Line Studio, which he later moved to Texas from Virginia. A cover version of Celtic Frost’s The Usurper was a new song in 2006, which lead to the Conjoined a year later. This deal proved to be a one-off as well as Count Back From Ten in two Thousand Ten was issued independently.
The band called itself the result of an empirical research project and its members scientists.
PROJECT: FAILING FLESH - A BEAUTIFUL SICKNESS - CANDLELIGHT
This chiefly American project seems to be in fact a full-fledged band. The core member of the band has recruited former Voivod singer and bassist Eric Forrest and bashed out an album riddled with metal, rock, industrial, goth and even a cover version of Venom's Warhead to boot. Forrest's voice sounds uncannily like the old Sacrifice times when Rob Urbinati used to belt out malice. The music, as mentioned, is all over the place and takes a perverse pleasure in being a composite in motion. The sound is pretty good, but whether fans will cozy up to this hodgepodge of different musical tones is another story. In the meanwhile, a second album is being put together. - Anna Tergel
