History & Biography
Proton Burst was an industrial-tinged alternative thrash metal band that was active between 1988 and 2000. To be in tune with the standards of the scene the band reformed in 2006 for a couple of years.

Welcome To The Reactor was the name of the 1989 demo. It was partly recorded in the USA and partly at a Paris concert. From Outer Space was a 1990 demo. Next came Prototape #.92. Bassist Stephane would move on to Ecstasy. The final demo was called Stone and arrived in 1993. Damned Production of Poland also distributed this.

The band adapted the story of a comic book called La Nuit. It was a sexual story involving a tragedy. Keyboardist Mathias was added for Silence. A demo called La Casa De Bernarda Alba was a demo in 2007. It was based on a 20th century play. Pavel had already departed.
The group had concerts with Massacra, Loudblast, Death and No Return. The act appeared at festivals like Rock Alive in Belgium and Hors Gabarit in Switzerland in its time.

Reviews

PROTON BURST - SILENCE - ADIPOCERE
This is typical Adipocere fare. It is a tribute to the conviction of the Adipocere owner/operator that the label signs band after band that has no commercial potential and will get ignored by both the media and the buying public. It seems that Adipocere refuses to change its tune and sign something more palatable. 'Bursting' out of France, Silence is the second effort of the ambient/industrial gang and presents no less than ten tracks of jazzed-out offbeat acid/industrial rock with such titles as Ombres, Proto and Sex O-D with a cover that belongs to a Pink Floyd album. It has as much to do with metal as Burger King has with good food, but the quintet will find its audience in the ambient/new age/industrial section of the specialty record store and that pretty much sums it up. You know who you are; you know what you like. - Ali "The Metallian"
