PSALM - THRESHOLD OF ESCAPE - CRAZINESS MUSIX
Nine times out of ten when a band is described as "industrial" whatever the fact is indicative of a lack of real musicianship and listening value of the subject. Noting the same description in Psalm's bio as well as the digitized cover photo I inserted the disc with much apprehension. The French mob, fortunately, are not that bad. Emphasizing their lack of innovative signatures, the young quartet manufactures six brutal metal pieces whose only deviation from the norm is the drum machine - although a drummer is named. The interspersed ambient shouts of B. Doussy do not help though. Thank metal heaven they are not posers like Fear Factory though and as such those wanting a kick at a British-sounding under ground band may seek this out from a reliable distributor. - Ali "The Metallian"
