History & Biography
This gore metal band was founded under another monicker in 2004 and changed its name in 2007. Rotten had looked to collaborate so the two can compose old-school death metal music. The act featured Rogga Johansson ensuring his Guinness book of world records’ marathon is intact and Xtreem Records’ owner Dave Rotten. A Promo 2008 arrived soon. The debut album followed and reported on the band’s history. Funebre Plague Into Darkness was a split release between Putrevore and Mexico-based Putrefact in 2014. Putrevore and Grim Fate had a split release in 2019 as well. Unending Rotting Cycle was the title of Putrevore's 2025 album. It was available through Xtreem Music on 11.11.2025.

Johansson’s occasional collaborator Brynjar Helgetun occasionally drums for the duo. Brynjar is a mini-Johansson who himself is in as many projects as there are weeks in the year.

The studio project records at different locations with each member entering the studio closer to his home.
