History & Biography
This black/death band was founded in 2004. To start, the band insisted on expounding philosophy. The band’s debut, Neutrality For Defined Chaos, arrived in 2006. Archetypal Transformation arrived two years later, but the third album came eight years thereafter. Thom Mathews had switched to bass prior to the third album and his departure.

Quinta Essentia released its Initiates Of The Great Work full-length on July 29th 2016 through Deathgasm Records. Initiates Of The Great Work was recorded and engineered by former drummer Lance Wright (former touring drummer for Vile and guitarist for Epoch Of Unlight) at Stargate Studio in Huntsville, Alabama, USofA and mixed by Wright and Colin Davis (Vile). The album was supported through a video for the song The Stone As A Key. Bassist Andrew Wampler was added in 2020. Lance Wright had left in 2013, but returned in 2020. The band played the Southern Brutality Metalfest in October 2021. A new album was promised.

The band’s name represented the fifth element in philosophy that was said to permeate everything.
