History & Biography The Switzerland-based hard rock band Rash Panzer was founded in Geneva in the summer of 1979. The first release was Demo 1 in 1984. The act had garnered management in the USA, but to no avail. The next demo was issued in 1988. It was called Rock N' Roll Street and featured a song called AC/DC. The group toured the east coast of the USA in 1989. The next demo appeared much more quickly and took only two years. The Rated X full-length arrived in 1990. It was produced by Rudy Lenners (Scorpions). Wild, Raw & Live was next in 1992. The band was on hiatus until the arrival of Back On The Rocks demo in 2013!
Never one to be rash and hurry up, the band was still around and announced a debut album in 2023. Liberation was made available through 7Hard. The band was JJay, Renator Dani (guitars and compositions), Renato Di Paolo (bass) and Thierry Wetzel (drums). A remastered version of Back On The Rocks was released in the middle of 2025. This version contained three re-mixes and new vocals by JJay Guerchakoff.
The 2026 album, Mexican Mysteries, aimed to retrace the story of Rash Panzer's creation. According to singer JJay, Liberation dealt with the reclaiming of our freedom, while Born To Rock'n'Roll addressed how we use it. Mexican Mysteries addressed how we need the strength to change things and fulfill our destiny.
