History & Biography
Singer Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow and Deep Purple) formed a new project called Legacy X in late 2013. This was as a result of yet another suggestion for a side-project by Frontiers Records. Also in this project were guitarist Jeff Watson (Night Ranger), drummer Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge) and bassist Tony Franklin (The Firm and Blue Murder). The band had signed a deal with Frontiers Records. The band's debut album would be released next spring. The name was changed to Rated X, however, before an album called Rated X appeared in 2014. Karl Cochran was on guitar replacing Jeff Watson (Mother’s Army) who had replaced Bruce Kulick. Three members had been in Mother’s Army, two members had been in Joe Lynn Turner and two members had been in Blue Murder. There was a video for the song Fire And Ice.
