History & Biography
This death metal band was founded as Domain in 1997 and changed names in 2000. A Rehearsal 2001 saw limited circulation in the underground, but was enough for Osmose Production of France to sign the band and issue its album in 2002. The follow-up arrived in 2004. Guitarist Ramirez had departed. The band had announced that Antimo would switch to guitar and a new bassist would be drafted. Bassist Sergio Alvarez did not last long.

The band broke up due to personal differences in 2004. Antimo and Oscar pledged a new band together. They ended up in Hacavitz, which also signed with Osmose, and other bands.

Oscar’s brother played guitar in the equally ravaging Disgorge.

Reviews

RAVAGER - NAXZGUL RISING - OSMOSE
Ravager might be history, but the members are still active in other bands like Demonized. In the meanwhile, like the other bands these crazy Mexicans play in, Ravager is a bulldozing death metal onslaught that will stop for nothing and nobody short of Satan herself. Naxzgul Rising has a fast demeanour and is closest to Morbid Angel or Angelcorpse without ripping either band off. There are few solos here, which is a pity seeing how adept and Possessed-inspired the few present are. The band does slow down occasionally, - check out the crush of Crest Fallen Of Divinity for example - but is primarily of interest to those of us who like their metal played at the speed of sound and with a demon instead of a vocalist. - Ali "The Metallian"
