History & Biography
There are multiple Ravenous’ running around including a British band, a Dan Lilker project called The Ravenous and an older band based in Austria. The Canada-based band was based in Calgary in Western Canada and founded by Voltaire in the spring of 2016. The band restyled itself to Ravenous E.H. (for Eternal Hunger). Guitarist David Khan departed in 2018.

Appropriately Eternal Hunger was the title for the 2017 demo. A follow-up demo was Eat The Fallen in 2019. The band’s Hubris album was issued by Spiritual Beast in Japan. It was also printed by the band’s own Feast Beast Records and mixed by Fredrik Nordstrom. The group added guitarist Skyler Mills of W.M.D for shows in 2018. It was booked for the Hyperspace festival in 2022. Stark Raven Mad (Volume 1) was a cover versions’ demo in 2022. The “power metal” band had a music video for the track Claw Is The Law that featured guest vocals, accordion and mandolin from members of The Dread Crew Of Oddwood. Guitarist Aaron McDowell had joined in 2022. Consequently, the band was no more as of 2024 and there would be no Volume 2. Two members were in Panthalassan, but the drummer was just passing through. Aaron McDowell also contributed a solo to Panthalassan.
