History & Biography
Active between 1989 and May 2010 and again since 2015, this band began thrashing before going synthesized and groovy. The origins of the band go back to playing Slayer cover versions.

Occultica and Psychotica were 1989 and 1990 demos. Black Mark of Sweden signed the band and issued a record in 1992. The second one arrived two years later. LRZ, who would later join the band, was a mixer here. The Maztürnation was a 1995 EP and was one of those odds and ends keyboard-oriented affairs. Kjetil Eggum and LRZ had arrived. The band played shows with Beyond Dawn and Cybele. The group also opened for goth-rock act Type O Negative in 1997. Sick Transit Gloria Mundi was nominated for Norwegian music award in 2002. Zyklon and Red Harvest had a split single in 2003. The group and Nocturnal Art parted ways in 2005.

The band was on Season Of Mist in 2006 and released a DVD called Harvest Bloody Harvest. The band and Arcturus had played shows in 2005. A remixes and rarities compilation was called The Red Line Archives and out through Indie Recordings in 2008. The Nocturnal Art records were the subject of a box set, called Anarchaos Divine: The Trinity Of The Soundtrack To The Apocalypse, in 2014, but the band was in slumber for over seven years. The group appeared at Tons Of Rock 2016 and Inferno Festival in 2017. Like most reformations, the band went back into slumber soon enough.

The members are also in Dunkel:heit, which is a dance rock band. Ørjan Nordvik of Helheim was a guest live bassist.

RED HARVEST - INTERNAL PUNISHMENT PROGRAM - NAP/CANDLELIGHT
It is not a difficult task inferring the future having listened to Red Harvest's latest mixing of metal with techno/electronic sounds. In an advanced and developed future, people will eat burgers mixed with maple syrup, drink milk mixed with orange juice and marry spouses with confused sexuality. Industrial manufacturers have submitted to the latest trends and retrofitted all cars with two wheels, supplanted wings on aeroplanes with cranes and sell guns with bonus soakers attached. Restaurants cater to their sophisticated patrons by pouring milk over pizza and serving cold, diluting wine with water for a handsome markup and dessert's prerequisite is a topping of ketchup. It is called fusion and is wildly admired by critics. Artists no longer think in narrow-minded patterns. Blues saxophonists are backed up by blast beating drummers, operas feature a medley of Arabic belly dancing and all paintings get the graffiti treatment.
In this brave future, sticking to one form is decidedly passé and so 1989. - Ali "The Metallian"
