History & Biography Finland-based crossover act Refusal signed a deal with Time To Kill Records for the release of its third album, Venomous Human Concept. The quintet was formed by the two Pirhonens in Helsinki, Finland in early 2008. The sound was thrash metal, but the act gravitated to death metal and even later to deathgrind. Early guitarists Ville Karhi and Sophie Collard quickly departed. Demos were Obey The Meat Grinder, Next To Nothing, Defining Peace, Where's Your Heart?, Short On Ammo, Grasp and Cannibal Instinct. FDA-Rekotz signed the band and issued the debut album in 2016. Epitome Of Void came in 2019 and was on a new label. The band was listing three guitarists with the addition of Patrick Franck. Juhani Paasipohja left the mike in 2023 however.
Venomous Human Concept was supported through a video for the song Sleeping Leviathan.
