History & Biography A progressive doom/avantgarde metal band that was founded in 1991, the band’s full-length contained a 40-minute a 30-minute long track. The latter was an amalgamation of the band’s demo tracks. The group became Rinascimento in 1995 despite sitting atop that most precious of commodities: no not unique music, but a name not replicated a dozen times on the metal scene although the UK band of the 1970s obviously preceded the Belgians. This new band did not release any music amidst turmoil in the line-up. The name later evolved into Red Nucleus.
The members came from Chronic Death. Archway was a 1992 demo. Drummer Jürgen De Wispelare and keyboardist Véronique Aerts left and were not replaced. The group utilized guest musicians. Ancient Rites and Renaissance shared a single in 1993. Ancient Rites’ Domingo Smets had been in Renaissance for a few months earlier. The band’s track was culled from the earlier demo. Shiver Records issued the Tired Blood single prior to the full-length.
