History & Biography
In popular folklore, it is Jesus that is resurrected. With this band it is Mary that is to be raised from the dead.

The California-based band was founded by Robison and drummer Gustavo Ramirez of 151 Swing. The latter man’s brother was in the band later. The band attracted a financial backer and put together a label showcase at LA’s Leads Studio. The band was booked for the Hollywood Vampires tour, but creative differences split them up.

Resurrection Mary, featuring Alleycat Scratch frontman Eddie Robison, released an album on FnA Records called Moon Over Babylon in 2019. Five of the ten sleaze metal tracks were produced by Tracii Guns for the 1989 label shopping purpose and ended up becoming the band’s cassette demo. The band and L.A. Guns toured as well. The material was lost and the band had to begin a search to compile the material for the record.

The band opened for Love/Hate, Junkyard, Bang Tango and L.A Guns in its time. The monicker was inspired by a ghost from the book The Haunted Heartland. Eddie published a book of fiction called The Backer - Fame Costs in 2022, which nonetheless took inspiration from the band’s history.
