History & Biography
The band whose name translates to ‘Blasphemy’ was founded as far south as possible in Finland in 2009. It was initially Mavrofos’ solo project. Session musicians and concert members were hired. Beneath The Black Wings was a 2010 demo. Hymns From The Damned Soul and Salatut Sanat, Unohdetut Kielet (‘Cryptic Words, Forgotten Languages’) followed. This third demo had the man switch to his native tongue. A version of the band played live for the first time in 2012. The band also toured across Europe.

Kvlt issued the band’s debut album in 2014. The band was Mavrofos and drummer Testimony. J.H. was credited with backing vocals. A live EP was called Unholy Prayers In Moscow 2015 in 2015. Unreleased Hymns (2010) was self explanatory and issued independently in 2016. There was also a split with fellow Finns Wakboth through Hammer Of Hate/Kvlt in 2019.

The second Finland-based black metal act Rienaus released a new album in November 2022. Luciferille was out through Kvlt. Lucifuge Rofocale of Azazel was inducted as bassist in 2022 as well. Testolator had supported the band on bass for several years prior. There were several Scandinavian concerts. The band announced it would play at Steelfest 2023.

The album titles are essentially the same and translate as dedications to the devil.
