History & Biography
Rimfrost (‘Rime’ in English) is a black metal band that was founded by two teenagers as Mörkrets Furstar (‘Princes Of Darkness’) in Hagfors in western Sweden in 2002. A limited edition demo was called Unredeemed Demons in 2023. Sorghim was on bass. The next demo was called Winds Of Hostility and made available in 2005. The band also entered Black Lounge Studio and recorded an EP called A Journey To A Greater End… It was released by Nazi No Colours label.

The debut full-length recycled several tracks and was issued in late 2005. It was called A Frozen World Unknown. The act played at Inferno Festival in the spring of 2006. Beuwolf left the fold in 2008. He had been a guest guitarist at first before switching to bass as a full-time member. The next album was on Season Of Mist. Veraldar Nagli translated as ‘Axis Of The World’ and referred to the North Star. According to the band, the new album combined Nordic lyrics with black metal roots and early Metallica-style thrash. A rare live appearance occurs in Germany at Metal Days in 2012.

The third album was on a third label and only released in 2016. B.C. had arrived on bass. There was a video for the song Witches Hammer. The band and label also uploaded a song called A Clash Under The Northern Wind. It was billed as belonging to the forthcoming album. There was not another album on Non Serviam and the song did not appear on the next album. The next record was on a fourth label. It arrived in late 2019. Khratos had arrived on bass. The band returned and uploaded a song called Killer Instinct in 2021. Then 2022 brought the follow-up independent upload, The Rise Of Evil: Killer Instinct. Andreas Persson was the latest bassist as of 2022. The band was recording a new album in late 2023 and early 2024.
