History & Biography
Are there more rings of the planet Saturn or current and former members of Rings Of Saturn? Nobody is certain, but it is clear that any attempt at organising the horde will be resisted by both the Republicans and the Democrats as in sheer numbers the bunch would constitute an encroachment on the respective parties’ hegemony. Any thought of assembling a reunion meeting has been abandoned by organisers as well. Venues with enough capacity are sparse on the ground.

The taxi was built by teenagers Peter Pawlak (singer), Lucas Mann (guitarist, bassist, keyboards and drum machine programmer) and Brent Silletto (drummer) in 2009. Unique Leader presumably liked it enough to sign the band. Embryonic Anomaly was available in 2010. Bassists Colin Waldo, Jeff Hughell, Jack Aldrich and Sean Martinez came and went in quick succession. A dedicated keyboardist was called Chris Wells. Singers John Galloway and Ian Bearer did not stay. The follow-up was offered as a download in 2012 before Unique Leader gave it the album treatment in 2013. Dingir was leaked online, which had prompted the upload. Peter, who did not get along with his band-mates, and Brent had already departed. An instrumental version of the record would also be released several years later. Jesse Beahler of Jungle Rot replaced Ian Baker in 2013. He left in the same year. Joel Omans left in 2014, but rejoined in 2018. Upon leaving he called Lucas a “hack.” Omans was replaced by Miles Baker. Aaron Stechauner, Miles Baker and Lucas Mann were in a new metalcore band called Interloper beginning in 2014. The two bands collaborated on a song called Souls Of This Mortality. Lugal Ki En was produced by Brette Ciamarra at Studio 344 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. The band toured North America with Thy Art Is Murder in 2016. The band began working with Extreme Management Group, which also worked with the likes of Suffocation.

The band switched to Nuclear Blast. The group opened for Origin in Europe in 2018. The bands had played together in 2012 as well. Japanese guitarist Onityan Yo was a live guitarist. The group announced a European tour called Sounds Of Carnage 2019 Tour with guests Nekrogoblikon, Mental Cruelty, Left To The Wolves and Harbinger.Embryonic. Gidim was supported through a tour with Enterprise Earth, AngelMaker and Brand Of Sacrifice. AngelMaker aside, the bands also toured Europe. The group booked itself a tour of Australia for 2019. Anomaly Remake was one of those self-cover version things in 2021. The band had already done a self-cover version in 2015, which was originally a song on the debut album. The new version was called Seized And Devoured 2.0. Reaching into its repertoire Dingir (instrumental) was an independent release by Lucas Mann. Drummer Mike Caputo came and went, but his membership coincided with the pandemic mostly. The band was dropped by Nuclear Blast. The label’s statement referred to Mann’s “threats” and “baseless demands.” The band changed course and decided to go vocalless.

Original singer Peter Pawlak briefly returned for live duty in 2021. Rings Of Saturn was the name of a 2022 demo. Mann’s wife Virginia Leo was heard on piano here. Cyber Shred Tour 2022 of the USA was next. The band also announced appearances at Rings Of Saturn: Embryonic Anomaly 10th Anniversary Tour - Russia 2022 and Brutal Assault 2022. A collaborative release with Berried Alive was called Dads 2 - Berrya 51 in 2023. The act uploaded a song called Theogony in 2024. The band did not have a singer. Ryan Sinnott was the drummer now. He had replaced Mike Caputo.

The band has been called deathcore, technical deathcore, techno-deathcore and aliencore. The act was founded in California, but is based in Texas, USA now. Musical cyber elements are given space in the band’s tales of strange aliens. Lucas Mann and the band have been accused of studio trickery and using multiple overdubbed tracks in the live setting over the years.
