History & Biography The deathrash metal group was called Surface between 2010 and 2021. The band expressed a desire to update its sound and image. Surface's 2015 album was, in fact, called Rise Of Kronos.
Germany-based Daily Insanity was teaming up with death thrashers Rise Of Kronos to play co-headlining shows in Europe in the summer of 2022. The act was also booked for Hell Over Halen 2022. It was dubbed The Final Crusade tour. 2024's Where The Gods Return was an immodest rerecording of Surface's 2012 album, Where The Gods Divide. The Imperium Tour of Germany was booked for 2024. It supported the 2024 demo, Imperium. Another booking was SkullCrusher Heavy Metal Fest of 2024. Where The Gods Return was a self-cover version album of Surface's Where The Gods Divide release.
Vader announced the March Of The Unbending – Europe 2025 tour, which kicked off in Luzern, Switzerland, with guests Rise Of Kronos and Skaphos, on April 12, 2025. A gig at Torino was cancelled. Bassist Tim Broscheit had left the fold. Rise Of Kronos was billed at Ferryman Festival. Rise Of Kronos announced a demo, entitled Slaves Of Time, for April 17th 2026. There was a music video for the title track. Tom Robinson had taken over the bass following Tim's 2025 departure. Slaves Of Time was the 2026 demo. The band called itself 'Olympic death metal.' The band was touring Germany in the spring (Hiraes cancelled its opening slot in Hamburg) and was booked for shows like Heimburger Metalnacht Festival and Dortmund Deathfest.
