History & Biography
The sludge band rose in Denmark through Martin Niemann and Jacob Krogholt in 2009. It was all over by 2019. The band called it an “indefinite hiatus” so they could explore other things, which was the same difference.

First, Rising was a 2009 demo. Exile On Mainstream Records released a debut record for the trio two years later. The band toured Europe, was booked for Copenhell and on the Headbangers Ball Tour of Denmark with Essence and Scarred By Beauty in 2012. Indisciplinarian was the next to bite. In actuality, the new label belonged to Jacob Krogholt and this record was its first. Two members departed leaving the future uncertain in 2013. A guitarist named Carl Peter came and went in 2015.

Denmark's Rising released a video for Death Of A Giant, which was on the band's third album, Oceans Into Their Graves. The band geared up for its first concerts in over two years. Sword And Scythe was a concept album about the history of mankind released in late 2018. Krogholt was left standing here alone, but the band was a quintet with new members soon. Nevertheless, the act disbanded in 2019.
