History & Biography
Robert Plant is the singer for Led Zeppelin. The Brit initiated a successful solo career beginning with 1982's Pictures At Eleven and 1983's The Principle Of Moments. Both charted on both sides of the Atlantic. Led Zeppelin was active between 1968 and 1980 and Plant launched his own endeavour when the band broke up. He has since worked with drummer Cozy Powell, Genesis and solo drummer Phil Collins, singer and violinist Alison Krauss and keyboardist Phil Johnstone. The song Far Post appeared on the soundtrack for the 1985 movie White Nights. Mumbo Jumbo was a full-length video in 1988.

The early album was on Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song and the label the act had been signed to, namely Atlantic Records. He subsequently moved to his own Es Paranza imprint. The man deliberately stayed away from banking on Led Zeppelin songs although that changed later. Plant, and former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and guitarist Jeff Beck, were also in a project called The Honeydrippers in 1984. Plant appeared at Glastonbury Festival in 1993. Page & Plant was another project in the mid-1990s. The man was busy with Strange Sensation between 2001 and 2007. Nine Lives was a box set, including video, in 2006. Robert Plant was in Tunisia at the International Mediterranean Guitar Festival in 2006. Robert Plant performed African-style versions of Led Zeppelin songs Black Dog and Whole Lotta Love songs on Friday, September 11th 2009 at the Rockwell charity gig at London, England's O2 arena. The charity’s earnings went towards music therapy. He was busy with Sensational Space Shifters in the 2010s and subsequently has worked with Saving Grace.

There have been several Led Zeppelin reunion performances in the meantime including Live Aid in 1985, in 1988 for Atlantic Records’ 40th Anniversary and a tribute to Atlantic Records’ Ahmet Ertegün in 2007.
