History & Biography Founded in Australia in 1981 and playing cover versions, the husband and wife duo of Rosanna Palmer and Dave Palmer began melodic hard rocking before finding Christ with drummer Johno Zaffarese, who was the father of 21st century Mortification drummer Adam Zaffarese, in 1982. Rosanna’s brother occasionally drummed for the act as well. The band was already a gigging act. The first demo of 1984 was followed by 1985’s We Are Raiders. Calling Down Fire, which had many of the same tracks as 1986’s Run The Race, credited Dave and producer Phil Butson on keyboards. Clothed In Fire was recorded in the USA. The act also found its own church in Melbourne, which was also a venue for the act, in 1988. The band toured Europe in 1991. By now, the band had toured multiple times across Australia. Rosanna initiated a solo career next and played at Christian meetings. Drummer Henry Leszcynzynski died in 1992.
Retroactive compiled and rereleased the albums in 2008. After a lengthy absence, Before & After The Fire 1985 – 2019 was a compilation that also featured songs that were intended for the band’s third album and several cuts previously on Rosanna’s solo demo.
