History & Biography Rose (ローズ a.k.a. Rozu) was an Osaka, Japan-based heavy metal band made up of four members. The act was called Artemis initially, but changed its monicker to avoid confusion with another act of the same name presumably. The girls issued a self-titled EP through J.A.P. Records/Crown in December 1988 and disappeared. The material mostly stemmed from Artemis, which had also appeared on a video compilation called Gal’s Paradise.
Drummers Bibi (also in Artemis) and Inoko were already gone by the album’s release. The producer for the EP, Sawamura Hikaru, also worked with 44 Magnum, Terra Rosa (Destrose, Nasty Rose, Passion Rose, Mell Rose, Rose Rose, Sexua Rose, Leather Rose, Roses, The Rosebud Mouth, Gypsy Rose and F.Roses were other Japanese heavy bands) and Marino.
