History & Biography
The thrash metal group Rosicrucian had the misfortune of signing with Black Mark Production. The label had no appetite for artist development, live promotion or collaboration with outside studios or producers and was churning and burning bands in the 1990s. Let us rewind for a moment though. The band was founded as Secession in 1986 before becoming Atrocity in 1987 before noticing an American and a German formation with the same monicker and changing its monicker to Rosicrucian. The act had moved its base of operations to Västerås in 1987. The band utilised this name between 1989 and 1995, hoping to groove metal and throwing in the towel. The Slapdash monicker would also free the band of Black Mark.

A demo called Initiation Into Nothingness arrived in 1990. The songs appeared on the debut record of 1992. Silence featured ten tracks and was recorded by Thomas Skogsberg at Sunlight Studio. The second album arrived late 2004 and featured a new singer (from Mezzrow) and drummer. Magnus Söderman would join a reformed Mezzrow years later. It would be the act’s last as everyone except the singer moved to Slapdash. Jhonny Bergman had been in a band called Slap-Dash Inc.

The Rosicrucians were a minor movement from Europe in the early 17th century, claiming esoteric knowledge based in Christianity and alchemy.
