History & Biography
Rome, Italy-based Ruinthrone may have chosen an appropriate monicker by including a keyboardist in its ranks. The group has been active since early 2008 and released the late 2008 demo Leaden Field (with no piano player in the ranks, but bassist Xander Pantagruel and drummer Marcello Alastor), the Urban Ubris debut album (with a couple of demo tracks, drum machine and a keyboardist) and the follow-up album, The Unconscious Mind Of Arda. The second album, on a second label, was supported through a video for the Tolkien-inspired folk ballad Earendil. The album's songs were inspired by Tolkien's work.

In-between the albums the band appeared at Power Metal Quest Fest 2019 and released a cover version of Bright Eyes by Blind Guardian. Luca Grossi joined on guitar next. The band was booked for Goat Hell Metal Fest 2023 in Croatia. The group climbed the stage at Arda - Fantasy Fest in 2024.
