History & Biography The Bremen, Germany crossover band was an anti-fascist unit that was around beginning in October 1985 before becoming inactive some ten years later. The band was one of the commercially underperforming signees of Century Media. Coincidentally, or not, the group's debut album was called Fuck Off Commercial. Like all bands, the boys returned for another round - in this case in 2002 - and like most reunions it was not that productive.
The monicker was meant to depict the band as rebels or guerillas who fight back, in this case, for example, against record companies. The group was first heard through a demo called Treason in 1986. The band has also called the demo Full Of Danger. Staffi, a martial artist, and drummer Oliver were childhood friends. The two had been in the punk band V/A where Olli actually handled the microphone. Atom-H signed the band and an album, including a couple of demo tracks, was released in 1987. The cover artwork showed the band paying its respect to record companies. The group had a gig with label-mates Protector and Accuser. The band was offered a tour with M.O.D., but declined due to its principle of not supporting right-wing bands. The 1988 EP, En Nombre Del Ley ('In The Name Of The Law'), was dedicated to the people of Chile who at that time were suffering under a CIA-supported right-wing dictatorship. The EP was billed as Chile Under Pinochet initially. The band toured with Death Angel and Assassin. Further concerts saw the band open for Broken Bones, CroMags and Suicidal Tendencies. The band left Atom-H unhappy with delays and other things. At the same time bassist Klomann had left.
They Give You the Blessing was the first record on the recently founded Century Media. The group played with Mad Slaughter among others. The 1991 EP Destroy Fascism would ultimately fail as Germany would be overrun by AFD, and other fascists, and Italy, Austria, USA and Hungary would all give in to the anti-human agenda. The band recorded Stop Violence and Madness at Morrisound Studio in Florida, USA. Half a dozen death metal musicians, like Rick Rozz, Kam Lee and Terry Butler, contributed backing vocals to this one. The band was bass player-less. This record was true to its title with the song Boys In Blue, and its "boys in blue, fuck you" chant protesting cops (which one-upped Nuclear Assault's Search & Seizure) and Stop This Shit raising an objection to animal cruelty and experimentation. Coincidentally, Staffi was detained by US immigration upon arrival in the good old USA and held for more than eight hours. They claimed Staffi's was a fake passport. They were wrong. The rest of the band were kept separately. The Tattooed & Loud video of 1992 featured material from 1990. The 1993 EP, Wieviel Hass Wollt Ihr Noch? ('How Much Hate Would You Want?') was the final product on Century Media. Markus was on bass.
The 1994 demo Hate Me contained the cheeky track called Full Of Commercial again. With a member having Turkish background that country got a compilation called Decade Of Chaos And Destruction. In the meantime, being a roadie paid the bills for the remaining members. The band had been operating with bassist Alex and drummer Jörg Uken (Mandrake). The act stopped working after two Turkish gigs in 1999. The group played live in Germany again, at Full Force IX in 2002 (with Heaven Shall Burn, Kreator and others), for the first time in eight years.
The returning band issued a demo, entitled Set The World On Fire, in 2020. A box set of multiple albums, named The Rumble Archives, arrived in 2023. The band played live in Bremen in that year as well.
