History & Biography
Established as Nightwolf's solo project in 2017, Runespell added a drummer (Basilysk) and piano man (Irrwycht) in 2022. Perhaps more accurately, those two added Runespell to the list of the acts they partake in. The line-up enabled the band to play live.

Aeons Of Ancient Blood was a 2017 EP. The issuing label also picked up the band's full-length work. Runespell’s Order Of Vengeance LP/CD was released through Iron Bonehead on the 6th of July. 2018. Sentinels Of Time was a 2022 EP recorded in 2021. The 2023 cassette Wells Of Slidhr was sold at Germany's Never Surrender Festival. The show was organized by Nuclear War Now! and Iron Bonehead Productions. Earlier versions of the festival were the subject of protests by progressive and anti-fascist activists. Nuclear War Now! famously had promoted NSBM bands and allowed such material on its website forum. Iron Bonehead Productions' owner Kremer had his shop shut down due to neo-Nazi material. Material meant for Runespell has appeared on Ancient Guard's debut as well.
