History & Biography Even a name like Sabaoth has had several suitors on the metal scene, but these Paraguay-based goth and metal fans surely can lay claim to the monicker above others even if a Mexican band had the same monicker as of 1990. The act was active between 1992 and 2014 and managed three records during this time. The band was often active in the neighbouring Argentina.
The first release was the 1993 demo tape, Dentro Del Culto. Southern Twilight followed the year after. The debut album featured the line-up of Zethineph, Zethyaz and Lord Norrack. The rerelease of the same featured the debut demo as a bonus in 2010. The group opened for Sarcofago in Argentina next. Windjourney, in contrast, featured Zethyaz and The N (Lord Norrack). The band had pop, new wave and goth in its sound now.
The group returned from hiatus and opened for Sepultura in 2006. The last record appeared in 2008 only, but the material was in fact older and had been composed mostly right after the sophomore record's release. This one added guitarist/bassist/piano man Kal Kav and drummer Xua. It featured an orchestra with many violins and revolved around the works of accomplished poets. The group opened for Morbid Angel and played several more gigs before disbanding. A compilation of the demo material was called The Demo's Labyrinth and released in 2018.
