History & Biography This act was founded as Constantinopolis (referring to the ancient city, which is now Istanbul, Turkey) as a project of Savaş' in 2000 before changing its name in 2004. The band left bassist Burrak behind in the process. The act incorporates folk into its metal diet.
A Promo Disc with three tracks arrived under the new banner in 2005. A fledgling Turkish imprint issued the group's debut album in 2006. This album (Powercraft) included the demo tracks. The band issued a full-length video called Live At Yeni Melek, which referred to a live venue in Istanbul. This performance saw the band play with Necrophagist, Orphaned Land and Samael. The group was booked for Summer Rocks Open Air Festival in 2007. Further demos were To Die For A Lie, Our Kingdom Shall Rise and Swords Of The Night. The band was also billed for Unirock Open Air Festival in Turkey in 2010.
Turkey-based Sabhankra returned with a full-length called Seers Memoir in late 2014. The main man was undergoing his military conscription and the band had been on hold. It was available through Haarbn Productions/Metalism Records. The label had signed the band in 2013. Live At Roxy was issued as both audio and video by the group in 2016. A 2019 demo was called The Dream Is Dead. 2021 saw the band switch over to Saturnal. Nocturnal Elegies was a 2025 demo by the group.
