History & Biography Sacred Child was a glam metal band in Los Angeles, California in 1986. Patterson was out of Hyde (which Rosa had produced) and connected with Rosa to found Sacred Child. The two had worked together before as Rosa produced acts and needed a session player occasionally. Rosa had also used drummer Jonason previously. The band managed one album, which featured Canadian Astrid Young, the half-sister and backing singer for Neil who had just arrived in Los Angeles, on vocals. David Reece (later Accept, Bangalore Choir, etc.) had been the person on the microphone and sung on the demo before Young was recruited. Geoff Patterson left immediately and was replaced by Mike Goode. A second album, tentatively entitled Doorbell To Hell, never materialized. The album was at first picked up by Black Dragon for Europe and subsequently reissued by Must Have Records ten years after its original release.
Founding member Chuck Rosa was a sound engineer during the 1980s and worked with the likes of Eden and Lȧȧz Rockit. The latter band was on Target Records and Chuck Rosa had gotten to know the label's president Mark Lenard. Rosa also recorded Sacred Child.
