History & Biography Sadistik Exekution was known for two things: its affinity for death metal (or rather 'mental metal') and the letter 'k.' The Sydney, Australia-based band was founded by singer Rok and bassist Dave Slave as Sadist in 1985. The duo briefly relocated to Melbourne before returning. The monicker was changed a year later. The band remained active between 1986 and 2004. The early drummer Corpse Thundertrash did not stay long. His successor Sloth was briefly out of the band before quickly rejoining as well. The cliche reunion, even if it was a one-off, occurred for a show at the Australian Heavy Metal Awards on November 7th, 2009.
A rehearsal Demo appeared in 1987. There was a song called Sadistikly Exekuted (which was a refreshing change from all the kind and benevolent altruistic executions we are all used to) here. The line-up was Rok, Dave Slave, guitarist Sasan Vahdani and drummer Sloth. The Magus was the debut album. It actually contained older material and was recorded several years earlier. A single, with the updated spelling Sadistically Executed, was released in 1991. Suspiral was the next release. It was a demo in 1991 that served as a taster for the band's Osmose debut album, which was initially to be called Spiritual Dynamics. As fate would have it, the band, objecting to it being labelled black metal as opposed to its actual style, which was death metal, had written "We Are Death... Fukk You!" on the recording it had mailed the label. The label mistook the message for the record's title and so the album's name was chosen. Rev. Kriss Hades was on guitar. Drummer Matt Skittz was briefly a live stand-in in 1995. He simply had to be in as many bands as possible and so here he was. Nevertheless, Osmose Productions announced a separate album called Spiritual 'Dynamix' for 1996. This was never released. The gang was calling itself the "fastest death metal band in the world." The act was on a tour of Europe with Impaled Nazarene and Absu in 1995. Slave happened to break Rev. Kriss Hades' finger who, nonetheless, continued performing! The members' infighting and havoc were cause for infamy and concern among promoters and fellow musicians.
K.A.O.S. was back on an Australian label primarily, as well as on Osmose later. This release was billed as 'Khaos' by Osmose initially. Dave Slave would break his leg, thus again delaying the band's activities. Back on Osmose were Fukk and Fukk II. The latter was considering a miss for the act. It was the band's last hurrah (posthumous cash-ins notwithstanding) and it was as if the band was deliberately giving its fans and the scene the middle finger. Fukkin Live 1991 was composed of sides Fukk!!!!!! and Off!!!!!! Sadistik Exekution and Swamp (Greece) shared a split release through Blasphemous Art Productions in 2026. Tribute To Black Power came some seventeen years after Sadistik Exekution split up.
As elementary as the band's artwork, for which Rok was responsible, the man went on to become an illustrator for many other groups. Dave Slave pursued acting. Hades built a quasi-dungeron in his house and lived in it. He also was a drunkard visual artist.
Reviews SADISTIK EXEKUTION - FUKK II - OSMOSE
Sadistik Exekution is first off Osmose Productions and then is back on the French label's roster. Change might be eternal, but the Aussies 'music' will never change. This cacophony is strictly for people who can't stand wimpy soft rock like... Cannibal Corpse or Deicide. Imagine that! Song titles like Homicidal Suicide (a tribute to Australian foreign policy and that Howard guy), Mental Derailment and Fukking Death Mental are pandemonium on disc. The band does include a couple of guitar melodies and early Mortal Sin-type riffs here and there (and even a Rock 'n Rolf impression at the beginning of Mental Derailment), but Sadistik Exekution is as noisy as a malfunctioning cement mixer caught in a tunnel of wind. Excuse me while I go torture at least half a dozen slaves. - Ali "The Metallian"
