History & Biography Saigan Terror formed in Koenji, Tokyo in 1997 and plays a crossover of thrash, punk, hardcore and grind influences. The documented releases are primarily demos and EPs such as Thrash & Mosh (demo, 1998), March Of Saigan (EP, 2000), Saigan Terror (EP, 2001) and Anatomy Of Saigan (EP, 2019). The band was silent for almost a dozen years after the turn of the century.
Drummer Ayumi joined in 2010. He replaced Maniwa Kazuhiro. H8monger joined in 2015. The band opened for the likes of Suicidal Tendecnies and Power Trip. Japan-based crossover band Saigan Terror had a live album called Live Under The State Of Emergency in 2021. The title referred to the pandemic closures. The label, Imperium Recordings, was run by H8monger. Japan-based Kruelty and Saigan Terror were using the Untopia Sea Tour monicker to tour Southeast Asia in June of 2023. The band's line-up was MrxSaki (vocals), Shizuru Saigan (guitar), H8Monger (bass/vocals) and Ayumi (drums). Former members were Maeda Daisuke (vocals), Asano Makoto (bass) and Maniwa Kazuhiro (drums). The band appeared at Bloodaxe Festival 2024. The band also opened for Fuming Mouth in Japan in 2024.
