SCID - FUCKED BEYOND RECOGNITION - UNMATCHED BRUTALITY  
This is eleven tracks put together from two EPs that were previously released by this German duo. Speedy, grinding Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition starts off FBR, a song which includes more than its share of Carcass influences, from its riffs to its more melodic, slower sections ala the Brits’ Corporeal Jigsaw Quandary, Complicated, Staring Inside The Womb, Internal Brain Atresia, Eternal, and Queen For A Day Cunt For A Lifetime round out the first EP portion of the album and do not drift from the Carcass style grinding, albeit with a more basic vocal arrangement than those of Jeff Walker and Bill Steer. The second EP starts of with C.L.I.T. which features an intro sampled from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back declaring I Am The C.L.I.T. Commander! Here, on the second EP, the songs are certainly noisier and more grinding. Recocknize is the highlight and combined with a louder production that makes it, and this EP, more effective than the first. The young Unmatched Brutality label has a few brutally impressive bands on its roster and SCID is right there among the best of them. - Anna Tergel
