SETHERIAL - ENDTIME DIVINE - REGAIN
Those who have Dissection, Dawn or Naglfar in their music collection, should go out and add Setherial to the list. Surely it is a good sign if the album's cover art has shades of Immolation and a glance at the lyrics brings to light text that looks like Slayer's Hell Awaits album which also rhymes. The music lives up to the high expectation. Setherial is inspired by Dissection and within the framework of speed and death metal executes an energetic rape of all that is holy. The vocals are also of the Dissection school of Satanic knocks and pack a punch. If the band grows some hair this will be excellent in every way possible. - Sheila Wes Det

SETHERIAL - DEATH TRIUMPHANT - CANDLELIGHT USA
The fifth Setherial album, correctly entitled Death Triumphant, has been issued by Candlelight USA under its so-called Cult Series and should supposedly be available at a low retail price. Musically, this is everything a fan of European death metal can need. Raging speeds are the foundation for brutal riffing, blasting drums and ungodly vocals. There is next to no concessions made here, although the album’s weakest song Relinquishment From The Unlighted Chambers pauses to slow down and act stupid for a minute or two. With Veins Wide Open also takes time to slow down as Marduk did on album. Outside that the band’s trademark speed changes and morbid inclinations are in place. Good thing too; death metal seems to go through ebbs and we were due something this uncompromisingly brutal (yet versatile) a while now. Fans of old Dissection, Naglfar and Dawn will exult death! - Anna Tergel
