SKULLCHURN - OF DEATH AND REBIRTH - INTO IT  
A Boring intro with weird sound effects (potentially emanating from kitchen cutlery) leads into brutal and primitive death metal exactly as promised by the band and Into It Records. The label is distributing the demo on cassette. Soon the comparison to Death's Scream Bloody Gore is proven correct. One could also add Miasma, early Immolation and early Morgoth to the list. Simple and direct riffs, rattling bass drums, rudimentary solos and distortion set to overdrive accompany barked and underground vocals. There is no bass sound to be found anywhere. Amidst the bedlam, the band does better when it puts the pedal to the metal. No extras, just the meat. - Ali "The Metallian"
