Why would these Finns record their album somewhere in Finland called Nordic Audio Labs or Biotech Audio Solutions? Let me explain why one would ask the question. Sotajumala is a Finnish death metal band that actually lives up to the title. And for a change these Finns do not confuse death metal with 'pop inspired melodic folk rock!' Going back to the studios, however, Sotajumala makes hay of its purely intentional Finnish name, Finnish album and song titles and lyrics - even if a previous album was called Death Metal Finland. That one was presumably foreign to Finns!
Teloitus is solid mid-paced death metal with a lot of affinity for the Florida scene. Think Morbid Angel riffing, think Brutality and even some Deicide vocals. No wonder in a Metallian interview Adramelech was quick to praise and recommend this band. Heck, the band is pictured in a Sotajumala T-shirt. The growls are blurted out quicker as the music picks up pace, which underscores the music’s simplicity. That is not a negative; simply the nature of the group’s music. A fan of Six Feet Under’s music, for instance, will relate to the songs here. - Ali “The Metallian”
