STICK IT OUT - TODAY’S DUMP - VALERY
The guitarist on the front cover that looks like the back cover is not Uli Jon Roth’s son (That this girls knows of). More relevantly, the band is Italian and has a sound that mixes the more conventional moments of Guns N’ Roses with a freewheeling punk insensibility that may irritate some. So let’s take this in: Italians, glam and sleaze in the sound, punk and pop added in, guitars, but never too hard and heavy and nothing too crazy. It is never bad or careless either. In fact, there is much to like. Who would though? Did I mention the guitarist has long hair and is as cute as hippie can get. Get a hold of yourself, Sheila.
The band is socially conscious and carries a theme against groupies and sleeping around with people like Kiss, Aerosmith and Rolling Stones too. The question printed atop the album’s cover is none other than, “Have you ever thought about datin’ monkeys??” Well, I wouldn’t call spreading it for monkeys dating them, but point is well taken guys. - Sheila Wes Det
