How appropriate for Doug Pinnick and Bruce Franklin of King's X and Trouble respectively who share everything from the label with their original bands and strong Christian views to a love for the groove of the seventies to get together for this project. Supershine is a classy heavy rock effort which swings between psychedelia and doom with ease and summarily sounds like it could have simply been the next Trouble record were the members to go beyond merely jamming once a year and record something. Supershine will certainly appeal to the fans of the aforementioned bands, as well as groups like Kyuss and Masters of Reality (not to mention the Pink Floydish closing ballads here) and is as such an album to take home. - Ali "The Metallian"
