SWEET CHEATER - EATIN’ AIN’T CHEATIN’ - PERRIS  
Boy oh boy, how did I manage to miss these good lookin’ guys in the '80s? I love getting’ them undiscovered releases from the glam glory days when the hair was flowin’ and the tunes rocked the body. Boston’s Sweet Cheater is a band that has reformed and reissued some of its original tunes a couple of years back. Perris Records has now picked up this release for the rockers and I gotta tell you that if you’re into Ratt (especially Mike Chappel’s voice) and Poison then you would be cheatin’ yourself were you not to check out Sweet Cheater. A couple of tunes like All Fired Up, Summer and Holding Out On Love (these last two are pretty similar songs too) are great for the beach. One Love and I’ve Got You are classy glam metal ballads and will take you back to the fun days of 1986. The standout track has to be Dancin’ On My Grave though. It rockets in hard rockin’ style into this girl’s heart and makes one a sweet believer. If the band’s next album is anything like this then they might as well ship it to me C.O.D. as soon as it is out! - Sheila Wes Det
