Reviews TENEBRIS - CATAFALQUE - COMET - CRUDE 
A growing number of bands nowadays are mixing and fusing different styles to reach different and personal conclusions of their own. One of these is Tenebris whose current CD, Catafalque - Comet, is a sampler of the band’s work. The aesthetics and cover artwork are only a prelude to the band’s music, which is scarcely metal. The Polish quintet mixes a potpourri of styles, such as pop, jazz and industrial to create its songs. The vocal effects of Obituary are here. The popular elements of soft rock can be heard. Vocals akin to Marilyn Manson are also common. The band’s foremost influence, however, is seemingly the Swiss band Samael with whom Tenebris ostensibly most likes to be identified.
Tenebris is an interesting band for the open-minded and artistically curious. Metal fans seeking purity, power or refinement are way off course here. - Ali “The Metallian”
