THE DESTRO - AS THE COIL UNWINDS - IRONCLAD/METAL BLADE  
Creepy album cover, but I don’t know what the band is meaning with its name. I do know where the music is going and that it is a lot thrashier than most will end up believing regarding the band. The Destro is a sludgy - especially in the vocal department - death metal band with loads of thrash metal and groovy parts. Think of The Destro as Eyehategod meeting Pantera meeting Autopsy meeting Cannibal Corpse. Yeah, that’s right somewhere in there and quite a meeting. This album holds a lot of mean music and takes no prisoners. On the flip side, it is not full of dynamic elements aside from a lengthy closing instrumental called Forever Embedded. This is both listenable and a little different. - Anna Tergel
