THE ENCHANTED - FOR THOSE WHO FALL... - GOLDEN LAKE
There is something about The Enchanted that screams 'British metal band' from a kilometer away! There is an inexact quality about The Enchanted that reminds one of older British bands like Gomorrah, Reign and even Cerebral Fix. The quartet of Tony, Robb, Jamie and Adam offer four songs on this EP mixing death and thrash metal to relatively good effect. A couple of nice riffs and a couple of nicer solos make For Those Who Fall... pretty interesting. Things become less alluring with the insertion of spoken vocals and a weak production courtesy of a studio called Goat Of Mendes. The drums especially suffer in production value. The boys would do well to patch the sound for the next outing, abandon the trendy chatter and focus on their core strength of delivering quality deathrash. - Ali "The Metallian"
