TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION - COMPACT DISC VERSION 1 - BONES BRIGADE
While the music on this compilation album sounds and feels serious there is also much that gives the impression that the band is not totally earnest either. Tackling the band's music first, Compact Disc Version 1 is stocked with mincecore of the finest pedigree. The band's sound comes across as Agathocles-meets-Macabre, while the vocals take the dual approach. It is not pure grinding though as a jazzy lounge number (Goatlord 2001) or long-winded soloing (Chromatic Blackness) or the intermingling sounds of humans, goats, sheep and cows (Goatlord) demonstrate. Then there is the CD's artwork with its depiction of various freedom fighters or lyrics like "madeline albright's sexy, she's a slut, horny for war" or "fear of a black metal planet, burning churches, blown up schools!"
Total Fucking Destruction is probably taking the piss out of everything. How many of the "6.5 billion pieces of shit" will take it in though? - Ali "The Metallian"
