Getting past the decidedly humdrum cover and moniker, Sweden's Triumphator are nothing short of a bludgeoning black metal rocket who having paid their underground dues with a mini and 7" have put music to CD and the results are not half bad either. Specializing in the true black metal art, the band comes over as not quite Marduk, but clearly more intense than Sacramentum or In Aeternum. Yes, thankfully it's speed metal time and coupled with a surprisingly in-your-face distorted bass guitar and howling vox, the boys belt out the black noise all the way to the abyss and back. Watch out for the cacophony tagged to the CD's end. This is wicked! - Ali "The Metallian"
